I am currently a Visiting Scholar at the Center for Environmental Policy and Behavior in the Department of Environmental Science and Policy at the University of California, Davis. I am also a Non-resident Scholar at the 21st Century China Center at the School of Global Policy and Strategy, University of California, San Diego, and an affiliate of the Climate Program of the Berkeley Economy and Society Initiative at the University of California (UC), Berkeley.
I held postdoctoral fellowships with interdisciplinary programs at the John F. Kennedy School of Government's Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs’ Environmental and Natural Resources Program as well as the Science, Technology, and Public Policy Program at Harvard University, and Georgetown University's Walsh School of Foreign Service’s Science, Technology, and International Affairs Program. I was a Visiting PhD scholar at the Tsinghua–Brookings Center and the Tsinghua University Institute of Climate Change and Sustainable Development. I was recently a Climate Policy Fellow, supporting California–China subnational climate diplomacy, at the UC Berkeley School of Law. Beyond academia, I have worked with governmental and non-governmental organizations, including the California–China Climate Institute at UC Berkeley, the German Agency for International Cooperation, and the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. My policy experience enabled me to bridge scholarly research and policy practice on issues related to climate policy, subnational climate diplomacy, as well as equitable low-carbon energy transitions, through supporting strategic planning, policy engagement, research, and implementation. I hold a PhD in Political Science from the Technical University of Munich, as well as a Master of Laws in International Relations, and a Bachelor of History from Sun Yat-sen University. |
